Buying ethical clothing is fairly difficult, especially when you go to your local high street and it is impossible to tell what stores are actually doing in order to be more ethical and eco friendly. There are so many strands to this issue most stores only address one of them.
Through my online research I have discovered an amazing site called Fashioning Change where you can build a profile for yourself including what stores you like to shop in, what style most suits you, what you normally spend and the site will give you eco friendly and ethical alternatives to your favourite brands! It's an innovative idea, is easy to use and features some of the ethical brands we've talked about in previous posts such as Love Me Again.
I have also been wading my way through the internet trying to find some eco/vintage fairs to tell you about which are going on in the North and here is what I have found so far...

Ilkley is a lovely little town just outside Leeds and Bradford, it would be worth going just for the day out but lucky you, there is a vintage fair going on too!

All of the Vintage Fairs going on all over the UK are listed HERE
If you love the personal touch of handmade clothes then a great site I've found is Red Rock Fashion. With studios based in Northampton, their style is very unique and you will definitely stand out from the crowd with these re-worked vintage clothes.
So, lots of exciting things coming up in the next few months for vintage fashion lovers! Enjoy!
